Before the injuries to Lebron James and Anthony Davis the Los Angeles most glaring weakness was their lack of size. Losing both Javale McGee and Dwight Howard in free agency hurt them and Marc Gasol has looked like even a shell of what he was in Toronto.
That issue may be , in part, addressed in the form of Andre Drummond. According to Adrian Wojnarowski the big man will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers once he clears waivers Sunday afternoon.
Drummond and the Cleveland Cavaliers agreed to a buyout Friday and hasn’t played since February 12 when it became clear, through trade our buyout that he would not end the season as Cavalier.
Just 27, he averaged 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in his 25 appearances with the Cavaliers.
The Lakers can immediately plug him into the starting lineup now and even alongside Anthony Davis when he returns , keeping Davis from playing the 5, which he abhors.
